We're seeking an experienced Baker to join the opening team for an exciting new project! At Mercato di Luigi, we're thrilled to announce the expansion of our brand with a captivating new concept. Our latest location will feature an Italian market, deli, and cafe by day, seamlessly transitioning into a full-service restaurant by night, highlighting Italian cuisine with a focus on simplicity, local ingredients, and a curated wine list.
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience and be passionate about baking, leading the team, and training.
You have:
- 2+ years bread/pastry/baking experience
- Experience in a supervisory position preferred
- Proven ability to develop, test, and execute new menu items
- Formal training and experience in Italian cuisine considered an asset
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while multi-tasking and maintaining high food standards
- Proven ability upholding health & safety standards
- Great communication skills and a passion for baking
- Food Safe Level 1 required
